First Mother's Day!

This Mother's Day was extra special for me since it was my first Mother's Day and because my mom could be here to celebrate it together. Also, at our church, we have Parent/Baby Dedications on Mother's Day, so my mom was able to be here to see Elliana (and us) dedicated. Elliana opted to sleep her way through the ceremony, which is definitely a better alternative to crying. :)

Meeting the fam

While we were in GA, Elliana was introduced to more of my side of the family. They instantly fell in love with her, and I think all of them would like it if we (or at least Elliana) lived much closer to them. Aunt Mary pointed out that we could have a free babysitter for each night of the week if we lived down there. Maybe it's a good thing we don't live so close...Elliana would be more spoiled rotten than she already is! :)

Way to Go, Gran!

The first week of May, Elliana and I headed down to Georgia for my mom's graduation. Max had to work and wasn't able to join us, so we ventured down on our own to celebrate Mom's big accomplishment in graduating with her nursing degree (the degree she needs to be able to take the big test to become a registered nurse). She still has more schooling ahead of her, but with the Lord's help, she's completed one big chunk of it. We were able to be there for the ceremony just for the nursing grads where I was able to pin her with her nurse's pin, and we were able to be there for the graduation that evening.

One-Year Anniversary!

We celebrated our one-year anniversary with the newest member of our family most oblivious to the special day. She wasn't really feeling up to celebrating when we wanted
to take pictures, hence the reason you can't really
see her face. Lord willing, she'll be around to help
us celebrate many more, though we're not sure we want to add a new member every year. :)
