We had the opportunity to meet up with my mom in KY last month for about a day. It definitely wasn't long enough, but it was better than nothing. Elliana had just started crawling forward, so my mom was able to enjoy that milestone with us. We went to a state park, walked around, and took some pictures. Before we left town, we found a playground where we took Elliana on her first slide and some other contraption. We think it might be similar to a teeter totter, maybe a safer version that doesn't allow you to suspend someone in the air or drop someone to the ground hard (which takes all the fun out of a teeter totter/see saw). At any rate, Elliana really liked the contraption. She also laughed when she watched my mom and me swing. It was a great weekend to be outside making memories with my mom. Elliana was also a big fan of the strawberry banana smoothie that her Gran shared with her!
A few days later, Max's mom was in town for a night and spent some time with her granddaughters. She was also able to visit Max and Jason at work that night and finally see where they spend much of their days. It'll probably be next spring before we see her again as she was headed down to FL with her husband and father-in-law to spend the winter there.
