Another First

Elliana took her first ride on a bike a couple of weeks ago, and it was without training wheels...  she's a quick learner!  Just kidding.  :)  She did have the best seat, though, and it was without training wheels.  She got to just sit back and let her daddy do all the work.  I found the seat on Craig's List...hopefully it'll get some more use before the winter hits.  We have a nice flat neighborhood area near us that we can explore.  If we get really adventurous and build our muscles, we might attempt to bike up the hills to explore the rest of the neighborhood.

New Foods and Roll Overs

Our newest adventures have been in the area of trying foods other than breastmilk and cereal and gaining mobility!  Max and I decided that we'll hold off on advancing to anything other than milk till she's potty-trained since the smell of her diapers has taken a turn for the worst!  Just kidding...I've been making "baby food" and freezing it, so here is my first attempt to do so.  So far, we've tried sweet potatoes, avocados, carrots, butternut squash, bananas, apples, and now green beans.  She seems to enjoy most of it as she's eaten everything I've fed her, but sometimes it's accompanied by a funny face and a shiver.  :)  I was surprised today by how well she did with the green beans!  A couple of weeks ago she weighed 19 lbs 6 oz, so it doesn't appear that she has any problems eating!

She figured out how to roll from her back to her belly about 3 weeks ago, and now she's rolling all over the place.  Last week, she rolled with her teddy bear (which is about 2/3 the size of her) across the living room floor.  She gets herself in all kinds of funny positions in her crib, too.  Sometimes she can have 3 limbs in between the rails and not be bothered by it, and other times she will have one leg stuck and cry.  She's also sitting up on her own, which makes play time more enjoyable for all!
