Splish, splash I was taking a bath....

Elliana loves bath time...can you tell?  Max and I enjoy her bath time, too, though maybe for different reasons.  :)
She can thank Mommy for fixing her hair during bath time and Daddy for fixing it after bath time.

Happy 1st Father's Day!

Happy First Father's Day, Max!  As you can tell, Elliana really likes her daddy.  I think these two pictures may sum up the most common looks she'll be giving her daddy over the years to come as he does some silly, unpredictable, fun stuff with her.

Reader's Digest

Elliana seems to have quite the appetite for books these days. Her focus is more on how quickly she can get the book to her mouth than on which story Mommy is reading, though. She is not easily deterred from hardback books that don't really conform to fit into her little mouth. One day maybe she'll appreciate the story, too.

Lip-Smacking Good?

Today's new skill appears to be lip-smacking of some sort. I looked over at Elliana and found her doing this. Of course, I had to video it. While videoing, I began wondering if this was a sign of some kind of problem/syndrome because kids that are seizing can do some weird things like lip smacking and tongue thrusting. She seemed pretty normal to me, though...just discovering all the noises she can make to entertain herself. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be a nurse...Sorry for all the movement of the swing. I thought that if I stopped the swing, she'd stop the lip-smacking.

Our Little Talker

So, Elliana has really taken to talking in the last several weeks. Most recently, she has been experimenting with how loud she can talk and cry. This little video just gives a glimpse of her talking back before she realized she could increase her volume. I'm not sure why the video is sideways...I'm sure it has nothing to do with the person behind the camera.

Silly times

We recently bought some little sunglasses for Elliana as the sun sometimes beats down through the back window of the car. Unfortunately, they have trouble staying on when she's in the carseat.
She ends up eating them instead of wearing them.
She doesn't seem to mind them at other times when they actually will stay on her face. The last picture is compliments of her daddy. He enjoys doing funny things with her hair after bath time, especially when I'm at work. As you can see, she doesn't mind the new hairdos.
